Who is Pastor Todd?

When Pastor Todd Hiller moved to the area in 2002, it already felt somewhat familiar.  He had grown up on a farm near Plainfield and had attended Aurora Christian School nearby.  He grew up in a strong Christian environment and, at an early age, committed his life to serving Christ.  After graduating from Wheaton College (B.A. in Music, minor in Christian Education) he spent three years in New Jersey helping to plant a church there.  In 1994, he returned to the Chicago area, spent 7 years on the music staff at Willow Creek Community Church, then 2 years as Worship Arts Pastor at Water’s Edge Church in Carol Stream (another church plant, now Water’s Edge Bible Church in West Chicago).  In addition to his role here at VCC, Todd also operates a music-arranging website (www.MusicChartsNow.com), has done freelance recording and performing, and has consulted with other churches (helping them grow in music and worship ministry).  He and his wife, Shelley, met while attending Wheaton.  They have been married 15 years and have three children- Matthew (7), Elinor (4), and Nathan (1-1/2).  In his spare moments, Todd enjoys home maintenance (really!) as well as biking and other outdoor activity with the family.
